l. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
a. Primary duty is to assist supervisor to meet production goals as outlined by the supervisor, coordinates workforce and work flow within assigned department (s).
b. Performs a variety of semiskilled manual duties requiring knowledge of techniques, tools, equipment, safety precautions, WPO and Quality programs. Adheres to and enforces the general safety plan.
c. Plans and organizes work assignments, completes reports and paperwork as assigned.
d. Trains and coaches new and existing associates, monitors individual and team productivity.
e. May be required to do other duties as requested by supervisor.
f. Ensures work is performed at a quality level consistent with Transcraft and Wabash National standard practice. Good attendance is critical. Must be willing and able to work overtime.
II. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
May be required to assist supervisor with job assignments, attendance tracking, conducting meetings, controlling inventory, completing inspections, etc.
III. QUALIFICATIONS
a. Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
b. Must have ability to exercise independent judgment.
c. High School degree or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred for this position.
d. Demonstrated good people skills required. Must be a team player.
e. Demonstrated leadership skills.
f. Must possess general working knowledge of department tools, techniques and processes.
g. Must have ability to learn and run required computer applications. Must possess required math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
h. Must have ability to understand and apply engineering specifications, Change Orders, Production Orders and Standard Operating Procedures. Good problem-solving skills required.
i. Excellent attendance record required.
j. Must be willing and able to work overtime.
k. Valid driver’s license required
l. Must be able to drive forklift
