We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Coordinator to join the team with Barrios, a teammate company.

Responsibilities

The Production Coordinator will:

  • Maintain shop production schedule (by job, machine, work center, etc.) in e2
  • Develop and work with the Production Scheduler at the job level at work centers to maximize overall manufacturing
  • Review, plan, and coordinate the execution of manufacturing work requests using designated software.
  • Daily review and adjustment of hardware development schedules and workflow within the various work centers to meet current shop priorities
  • Develop job kits to full-kit level including material, consumables, and documentation
  • Track schedule for manufacturing work orders, provide thorough status reports to customers and provide follow-up support on questions and concerns
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, plus five (5) years of experience.
  • Effectively manage and prioritize responsibilities for multiple projects with overlapping schedule demands
  • General understanding of manufacturing processes, including machining (manual, CNC mill and lathe, multi-axis, and electric discharge machining), sheet metal fabrication, welding, composites manufacturing, cleaning, and hardware assembly, water knife, press brake.
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing and physical characteristics of metals, plastics, composites, and fibrous materials
  • Knowledge of scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed scheduling decisions.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated organization skills to meet tight deadlines with high quality results.

  • Familiarity of quality procedures and documentation for aerospace flight Hardware, including material test reports, certificates of compliance, and heat treat and other quality records

Essential Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Applicant selected may be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Work may involve sitting for extended periods.
  • May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lb.
  • Must have sufficient mobility to enter areas of test facilities where necessary.
  • Generally, an office environment but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
  • Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, etc.)
  • Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.
  • Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.
  • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.
  • Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
  • This position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed.
