We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Production Coordinator to support daily production operations and ensure accuracy in manufacturing orders and inventory processes. This role plays a critical part in keeping production running smoothly and offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with operations, logistics, and planning teams. This position will also assist with the accuracy of raw materials, finished goods, and label inventories.

Early shift: 4:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Ideal for individuals who prefer an early start and afternoon flexibility

Weekend availability as needed

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Manufacturing Orders & Production Support

  1. Review and prepare daily manufacturing orders (MOs) for Production, Starch, BBQ, and Mustard departments across all shifts
  2. Support Production Supervisors with MO reconciliation and “needs” planning
  3. Partner with the Master Scheduler to ensure schedule accuracy and alignment
  4. Attend daily meetings and provide updates on MO status and issues

Inventory & Reconciliation

  1. Ensure accuracy of raw materials, finished goods, and label inventory
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve inventory and reconciliation discrepancies
  3. Participate in monthly physical inventory processes
  4. Assist with tracking, organizing, and archiving manufacturing orders

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  1. Communicate issues impacting planning, operations, customer service, and inventory
  2. Support the Logistics Manager with inventory and shipping-related challenges
  3. Work closely with production teams to identify and resolve operational issues

Process Improvement & Operations Support

  1. Develop and improve processes for tracking and maintaining manufacturing orders
  2. Adapt quickly to changes in production schedules and business demands
  3. Engage directly on the production floor to support operations and gain real-time insights

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.

Related Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the food industry. Manufacturing experience and familiarity with production environments. Strong expertise in supply chain management and inventory control.

Equipment/Software Skills: Advanced experience with MS Excel, Word, Outlook; Inventory Management System experience, preferred.

Additional Information

Physical: Must be able to walk throughout the plant, including walking and climbing up/downstairs and ladders (portable, fixed). Must have be ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally is required.

Sensory: Must have the appropriate level of sensory acuity (visual, hearing, speaking, smell, and touch) to be able to identify and react to normal, abnormal, and alarm conditions (chemicals, temperature, etc.)

Mental/Reasoning: Must be able to logically and methodically work through and break down complex problems and processes to enable effective communication with all levels of the organization.
