Job Description

General Overview:
Candidate will supervise and coordinate activities of Associates engaged in expediting flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments of industrial plant, and of Associates engaged in scheduling production operations. Section Manager is responsible for the training of all department associates.

Duties:

  • Evaluates written data such as orders, product specifications and bill of materials, parts and materials inventory lists, and machine and worker production rates, to ensure a smooth execution of the production plan.
  • Confers with production personnel to resolve problems affecting production schedules.
  • Maintains finished good and components levels at the designated levels.
  • Safety stock coordination in the plant.
  • Kanban control and maintenance. 
  • Support and control the new products and abnormal production process.
  • Coordinate the contacts with our customers.
  • Supervise the design change control process in the plant.
  • Coordinate and control the phase out activities. 
  • Co-chair the physical inventory activities.
  • Coordinate the cycle count program.
  • Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
  • Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures. 
  • Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
  • Prepares composite reports from individual reports of subordinates. 
  • Compose performance evaluations for direct reports.
  • Approve timecards and vacation requests.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university, or at least four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
