Production Control Manager focuses on managing production to optimize the use of resources and meet production schedules and standards including: Planning and controlling production schedules, and coordinating with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials. Estimating and scheduling the staffing, tools and equipment needed for the production process. Researching, evaluating and recommending changes to production processes, systems, technology or equipment to enhance organization’s production capabilities.
Acts as liaison between sales, service, manufacturing and plant operations, while also supporting company initiatives in the areas of productivity, quality, on time delivery and cost savings initiatives.
Actively monitor, maintain, and control work schedule and backlog for all plant processes (including quotes)
Complete plant projects while fully coordinating with customer, sales, customer service, manufacturing design, and plant manufacturing groups as required for on time delivery of product
Work with purchasing to coordinate all production materials (e.g. board, tooling, cello, coating, glue, etc.)
Manage Third party vendors for outsourced production.
Run and distribute reports and communication to various levels of leadership
Function as an effective global leader and focal point for plant related details and general communication. Produce materials to support the communication process when required.
Prepares plant capacity and demand plans
Maintains adequate working capital resources, meeting defined goals
Provides new business leadership in partnership with the plant manager and production team
Assist in setting, reviewing, and driving department goals
Identify, develop, and lead department-wide continuous improvement initiatives utilizing both LEAN and Six-Sigma tools, techniques, and methodologies
Drive the development, modification, and implementation of plant processes and training materials
Search out and implement critical cost saving initiatives
Safe Quality Food Responsibilities for all employees:
Follow all Plant Rules, Processes, Hygiene and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods
Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures
Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required
Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF)
Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation
Required Skills:
Results driven individual with goals of advancing within the organization
Experience with SAP preferred
Foresight, creativity, sense of urgency, and good organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills.
Required Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or related work experience in lieu of degree in the offset printing industry or similar manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word &PowerPoint
Pay Range: $88,000.00 - $117,300.00
