Job Title: Production Control Clerk (Support Equipment Specialist)

Location: JRB New Orleans 159th Fighter Wing, ANG CRF

Task Description:

Production Control Clerk (01270): This position compiles and records production data for industrial establishments to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production. May perform any combination of the following duties: compile and record production data from customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed recording procedures and using different word processing techniques. This Clerk calculates such factors as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates, using a computer, calculator, and/or spreadsheets. Additional tasks include: writing production reports based on data compiled, tabulated and computed, following prescribed formats, maintaining files of documents used and prepared, compiling detailed production sheets or work tickets for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture of products. This Clerk prepares written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities, compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies charts production using chart, graph, or pegboard based on statistics compiled for reference by production and management personnel. This Clerk also sorts and distributes work tickets or material and compute wages from employee time cards and post wage data on records used for preparation of payroll.

Additional Qualifications: The Production Control Clerk (Support Equipment Specialist) shall receive, store, inventory, and issue hand tools, special tools, testing equipment, replacement parts, shop supplies and support equipment, IAW AFI/ANGI 21-101 and established 159 FW ‘Tool-Room’ procedures as well as track, manage, coordinate, procure, schedule and maintain all equipment in his/her care and shall coordinate repairs and maintenance that are beyond local capabilities with other agencies. The Production Control Clerk (Support Equipment Specialist) will manage efforts to maintain engine support tools and equipment to meet production and delivery requirements. This clerk will monitor all equipment inspection requirements, schedule and complete required inspections, document inspections in CAMS, update AFTO 244’s, to include updating and monitoring TCMAX (computer monitoring system). The Production Control Clerk (Support Equipment Specialist) will schedule NDI and TMDE, inspections and coordinate shipping equipment off station for repair and calibration and will also schedule sheet metal and machinist jobs for equipment repair and inspection. The Production Control Clerk (Support Equipment Specialist) will receive, stock, and control the inventory of tools and equipment for accountability and serviceability. The Production Control Clerk (Support Equipment Specialist) will procure and maintain the proper Personal Protective Equipment required by Technical Orders and MSDS. This clerk will procure, stock, and maintain chemicals with the correct MSDS through HMIRS. The Production Control Clerk (Support Equipment Specialist) uses USAF Standard Base Supply System and AF Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) and Air Force Equipment Management System and performs preventive and minor maintenance on tools and support equipment, and personnel protective equipment (PPE). The Production Control Clerk (Support Equipment Specialist) will inventory all Support Section Bins and Cabinet locations at the beginning and end of shift to establish and maintain optimal inventory levels. The Production Control Clerk (Support Equipment Specialist) uses TCMAX to cross reference all equipment locations, reviews, requisitions, and sets up new inventory items and consults with mechanics, vendors, suppliers, and procurement personnel to determine availability, verify correct specifications, and ensure timely delivery. This clerk maintains computerized and paper records, and generates inventory reports with recommendations. The Production Control Clerk (Support Equipment Specialist) is responsible for Vehicle Control and the scheduling of Vehicle Maintenance on CRF owned forklifts and towing vehicles. This clerk also controls and monitors the Precious Metal Program.

Task Requirements:

  • Receives, stores, inventories and issues hand tools, special tools, testing equipment, replacement parts, shop supplies and support equipment
  • Tracks, manages, coordinates, procures, schedules and maintains all equipment and coordinates repairs and maintenance that are beyond local capabilities with other agencies
  • Manages efforts to maintain engine support tools and equipment to meet production and delivery requirements
  • Monitors all equipment inspection requirements, schedules and completes required inspections, documents inspections in CAMS, updates AFTO 244’s, to include updating and monitoring TCMAX (computer monitoring system)
  • Schedules NDI and TMDE, inspections and coordinates shipping equipment off station for repair and calibration
  • Receives, stocks, and controls the inventory of tools and equipment for accountability and serviceability
  • Procures and maintains the proper Personal Protective Equipment required by Technical Orders and MSDS

  • Controls and monitors the Precious Metal Program
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five years’ experience as Production Control Clerk

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must meet security requirements for installation, facility and network access
  • Must qualify for and shall possess a Common Access Card (CAC)

Compensation

$31.02/hour

Other Compensation

Employees receive a health and welfare benefit of $3.65 per hour paid up to 40 hours per week.

Employees are able to enroll in KAI’s 401k plan and the Company will contribute $.35 per hour paid up to 40 hours a week to the employee’s account. Employment is contingent on (a) your ability to provide appropriate proof of your identity and eligibility to work in the United States; (b) your references and any background check being satisfactory to the Company; (c) you successfully passing a pre-employment drug test; and (d) your ability to get a required clearance by your effective start date, if needed; and (e) KAI commencing performance on this contract.
