The Production Control Clerk is responsible for operating the MAF help/service desk, initiating and managing work orders, and serving as the primary customer interface for facilities‑related requests. This role ensures accurate work order creation, timely response to customer needs, and proper documentation within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in accordance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Duties:

Receive, evaluate, validate, and process customer work requests, ensuring all required information is complete, accurate, and properly documented prior to work order creation.

  • Create and manage work orders for corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, trouble calls, facility repairs, safety, environmental, and customer service requests, ensuring accurate coding and documentation within the CMMS.
  • Prioritize, categorize, route, and dispatch work requests based on mission priority, safety considerations, operational requirements, and available resources.
  • Create service requests ensuring accurate entry of all required information.
  • Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to control, schedule, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance (PM/CM), SRs, and all other operations or activities required by the PWS.
  • Serve as the primary customer interface by providing accurate, timely, and professional responses to all requests.
  • Enable customers to track work in progress by maintaining clear and up-to-date information in the CMMS.
  • Support efficient workflow by coordinating with maintenance, operations, and other functional teams as needed to process and route requests.
  • Maintain high levels of customer service by ensuring prompt communication and effective problem resolution.
  • Monitor work order status and follow up to ensure timely completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Procurement, SHEMA, and other functional organizations to facilitate timely execution of maintenance activities.
  • Verify work order documentation for completeness and accuracy prior to closure.
  • Maintain accurate records and generate reports supporting maintenance planning, scheduling, and contract performance metrics.
  • Assist with backlog management and work order prioritization to support mission requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee, customer, and contract information.
  • Performs other related work as assigned.

Job Requirements

Mandatory:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with CMMS platforms (i.e. Maximo) and basic workflow processes.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Effective communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Valid Real ID State driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
  • U.S Citizenship.

Working Conditions:

Work is primarily performed in an office environment supporting maintenance operations. Occasional visits to industrial or construction work areas may be required to coordinate work activities or support customers. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) shall be worn when entering operational areas.

Physical Requirements:

Physical requirements involve bending, kneeling, squatting, stooping, reaching, grabbing, pushing, pulling, twisting, and shoveling. Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
