Job Title: Production Control - Assistant Manager

SUMMARY

Develops yearly section plans based on Departmental Business Plan. Oversees production control activities to achieve company objectives set by Top Management. Evaluates and develops subordinate members. Responsible for planning and directing the material and production control activities to ensure the availability of quality materials, effective customer delivery, and optimum levels of inventory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develops and oversees departmental policies, procedures, systems, & yearly job plans.
  • Develops and monitors departmental goals and targets.
  • Oversees internal and external logistics.
  • Evaluates written data such as product specifications and operations sheets, parts and materials inventory lists, and machine and worker production rates to establish efficient allocation and scheduling of parts, materials, machines, and sequences of operations and workflow.
  • Directs training and education system for Members to improve work performance and career development. Educates Members regarding Company policies and procedures.
  • Prepares and oversees department budget and controls expenditure of funds in budget.
  • Communicates with customers and suppliers and monitors monthly production schedules and develops production forecasts.
  • Manages Inventory Control System through an automated alert & data pull simulation.
  • Leverage DX tools to blend data into a centralized Transformation (OEM Portal, Supplier Shipping, Internal ICS) – reports to ensure Production flows efficiently.
  • Conducts performance evaluations for all Specialists.

Qualifications

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Ability to communicate with internal and external contacts, both verbal and written – specific OEM Portal Interfacing. (Formal Presentation creation & execution)
  • Oracle-Fusion or similar ERP knowledge.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical documents.
  • Highly Advanced Computer & O365 Background (Including MS Fabric & Power BI)
  • Maintain IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Independent problem-solving skills & Leadership abilities.
  • Ability to perform occasional lifting and ergonomic movements (i.e. – twisting, turning, reaching, bending).

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred, or an associate degree is required.
