Job Description

Leidos Homeland Group is seeking a dynamic Production Control Logistician in Chesapeake, VA. The Production Control Logistician is responsible for supporting daily logistics, inventory control, and production operations to ensure efficient material flow throughout the organization. This role supports life cycle maintenance and Integrated Product Support (IPS) activities for major systems by managing inventory records, spare parts, parts ordering, warranty processing, vendor returns, and production support functions while maintaining accurate reporting and documentation.

The position coordinates the flow of materials, services, and information from vendors through customer delivery to help meet operational and customer requirements. The Production Control Logistician also assists with warehouse tasking, monitors inventory accuracy, supports logistics processes, and helps improve operational efficiency through strong organization, attention to detail, and effective communication in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities.

  • Inventory Management Planning, controlling, and optimizing stock of goods to meet customer demand, minimize carrying costs, and maximize operational efficiency.
  • Logistics Management Strategizing and coordinating the movement of goods and resources to meet customer demands and minimize costs.
  • Logistics Systems Implementing and managing systems to optimize the flow of goods, information, and resources throughout the supply chain.
  • Materials Management Support the acquisition, storage, and distribution of materials to support production and operations.
  • Process Improvements: Identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to processes to address them.
  • Warehousing Operations: Support warehouse organization and inventory accuracy initiatives to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

Basic Qualifications.

  • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to lift 40 Pounds, Previous Warehouse Experience.
  • Demonstrated Self-Starter, Computer Skills, FedEx On-Site Power Ship Exp., Microsoft Access,
  • Experience, Knowledge of OSHA Standards, and Inventory Control & Management Specialized training in specific aspects of job functions and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks.

Preferred Qualifications.

  • Proficiency with computer database systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Pay Range:

Pay Range $45,500.00 - $82,250.00
