We are seeking a Production Clerk to assist in all activities of ink production. You will serve as the lead person when covering for the shift Supervisor. As a Production Clerk, you will be expected to promote organizational goals and work according to the work instructions, being responsible for:

  • Performing the job duties of an Inkmaker/Ink Technician when not covering for a Shift Supervisor
  • Tending mills in a safe and efficient manner to grind the raw materials
  • Weighing quantities of raw materials for use in the manufacturing of high-quality printing ink
  • Operating one or more mixers in a safe and efficient manner
  • Possessing a mental and physical working knowledge of all activities on the production floor
  • Demonstrating work in accordance with work instructions
  • Establishing or adjusting work priorities to meet production schedules
  • Explaining production tasks that need to be accomplished for that particular production day
  • Estimating, requesting, and inspecting materials
  • Interacting with personnel in QC, Warehouse and others to accomplish the daily agenda
  • Recommending measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
  • Controlling the movement of production into and out of the department
  • Being committed to participation in the TPM activities of the facility with a clear understanding of all KPI targets
  • Being committed to supporting the TPM activities of all pillars to the plant floor

Qualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

  • Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Have 2 to 5 years of related work experience
  • Be able to match colors effectively and pass a color vision test
  • Demonstrate good math and basic computer skills
  • Have good verbal, written, and reading comprehension abilities
  • Be detail-oriented
  • Have good attendance and punctuality
  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider it a plus if you have:

  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, and supervisory experience
  • Forklift experience, but we can train you
  • Previous experience in the ink industry
