Job Purpose

Display Goodwill’s Core Values – Hope, Dignity, Service & Partnership.

A Production Clerk will work in the collection, processing, stocking, and sale of used goods. Production Clerk’s will process raw donations from donors and prepare for movement to the retail sales floor. Production Clerk’s will also occasionally operate a cash register and perform store recovery operations.

Qualifications

Shift A: 8:30am – 5:00pm- Five 8hr days

Essential Job Functions:

1. Follows all defined safety absolutes.
2. Displays great customer service by greeting donors and customers.
3. Processes raw donations into sellable merchandise.
4. Hang Textile garments according to established procedures
5. Keeps areas clean, including inside and outside the store.
6. Sorts material as required and stocks material in stores.
7. Maintains textile category, sizing and quality of goods on the retail sales floor.
8. Arranges shoes, media and accessory items on the retail sales floor.
9. Rotates stock in accordance with defined guidelines
10. Recovers product on sales floor to ensure established merchandising guidelines
11. Prepares material for transportation.
12. Performs other duties as assigned,

Reports To: Retail Manager or designee.

Positions Supervised: None.

Requirements:

• Basic math skills and ability to make changes.
• Ability to perform material handling with few restrictions, works with minimal supervision.
• Ability to pick up, handle, inspect and sort varieties of textile and houseware items.
• Ability to lift/carry 30 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability bend, stoop, kneel or crouch occasionally.
• Must follow all safety procedures and correct safety issues, if possible.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
