The Opportunity

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager the Production Clerk supports the manufacturing process by performing administrative and clerical tasks that ensure smooth operations. This includes providing administrative and data entry support to the Purchasing, Human Resources and Sales departments as needed while also providing coverage of core duties for various office-based positions.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update production records, reports and databases
• Track inventory levels, maintain pricing records and assist with ordering materials
• Coordinate with production staff, supervisors, and other departments
• Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies
• Assist with quality control documentation and compliance tracking
• Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency
• Provide coverage of core duties during absences
• Handle general clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and correspondence

Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–3 years of experience in a production or clerical role (manufacturing preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Associate degree or certificate in Business Administration or related field would be considered an asset
• Experience with inventory management systems or ERP software would be considered an asset
• Familiarity with production workflows and quality control standards would be considered an asset
