Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• at least two (2) years of experience building cabinets, carpentry work, in a production environment or equivalent
• knowledge of construction specification documents and plans
• knowledge of production equipment and tools
• ability to prioritize projects or initiatives and plan labor efforts and materials
• ability to multi-task and handle large amounts of work effectively and efficiently
• ability to resolve customer needs and optimize efficiencies
• basic knowledge of Microsoft Office; Word, Outlook, Excel
• excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
• willingness to work a varying schedule; including nights, holidays and weekends when required

Preferred Qualifications

• four (4) or more years of experience building cabinets, carpentry or equivalent
• knowledge of retail designs, equipment, millwork and operations
• mechanical knowledge
• intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office; Word, Outlook, Excel
• knowledge of Publix Strategy
• knowledge of CQI Methodologies
• knowledge of Retail Store Operations
• knowledge of Facilities organization structure and departmental processes
• knowledge of company and departmental policies
