The Production Bakery Clerk’s primary role is to greet guests, process and fill orders. This individual should have a strong knowledge of the products and services offered within the bakery department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Provide excellent guest service.
• Prepare product for baking and bake product according to specifications.
• Take special orders and provide suggestions as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness standards within the department.
• Follow company rules and state-mandated health and safety laws
• Operate cash register and follow proper cash handling procedures.
• Ensure proper operation and care of department equipment.
• Work on special projects, other assignments or tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 18 years of age
• No previous experience needed only a willingness to learn.
• A current and valid state-issued food handler’s permit.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate confidently and clearly.
• Enjoys working with others.
• Self-sufficiency with the ability manage yourself.
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of the business.
• Regular on-site attendance required

PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS

Work is generally performed in a safe and comfortable store environment with the possibility of frequent exposure to hot or cold conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to grasp, push, pull, carry, stoop, twist, crouch, and reach; perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and eye, hand and foot coordination; hear and respond to customer inquiries. Also requires standing, walking and bending throughout the entire workday and the ability to maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 30 pounds from location to location.
