Job Description

We are actively seeking a dynamic, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Production Assistant. This position will be responsible for the production of simple frontlist children’s titles in hardcover and paperback editions, print and digital formats.

Responsibilities

  • Work with vendors to create and maintain title-specific schedules.
  • Coordinate all phases of production between internal departments and outside vendors.
  • Issue Purchase Orders for new books, inclusive, but not limited to, printing, binding, components, sales materials, and ebooks.
  • Prepare estimates for acquisition and final production.
  • Quality Control all products and samples.
  • Provide administrative support to director.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Mac/PC experience; MS office; proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Capacity to think and react gracefully in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task and simultaneously complete multiple projects

The salary for this position is $52,500. We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company.
