Description & Requirements

We work hard, and we work fast - while keeping up the quality and accuracy we're known for. It's what keeps us inventing and reinventing, all the time. "Our culture is wide open, just like our spaces." We bring out the best in each other. And through our countless volunteer projects, we help bring out the best in the communities around us, too. You can do amazing work here. It's up to you to make it happen.
Bloomberg TV is seeking a highly motivated Production Assistant to join our London team on a 12-month contract. This is an entry-level role designed for someone at the start of their career who is already an avid consumer of Bloomberg news and eager to grow within a fast-paced, global newsroom.
You should be naturally curious about global events, markets, politics and the forces shaping the world, with a desire to understand the “why” behind the headlines. Alongside this curiosity, you bring a positive, can-do attitude, resilience, and the ambition to build a long-term career at Bloomberg.
You will work closely with the production team to support live programming, contributing research and essential day-to-day coordination. This role sits at the heart of a live news environment and requires someone dependable, adaptable, and able to perform under pressure - particularly during early starts and busy news cycles. It’s an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of television news while building a strong foundation in business and financial journalism.
We’ll trust you to:
  • Prepare briefing notes that anchors can use as part of their research for interviews
  • Independently complete administrative tasks such as booking cars, keeping the green room tidy, and compiling data
  • Greet and speak with TV guests coming for studio interviews

You'll need to have:
  • A minimum of 4 high performance GCSEs (or equivalent)
  • Evidence of GCSE Maths and English results
  • A passion for Bloomberg news, and a strong interest in business and finance
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, ability to multi-task
  • A strong work ethic, and willingness to work early mornings

We'd love to see:
  • Knowledge of organisational tools like TeamUp and Excel
  • Experience in research
  • Experience working as part of a team

If this sounds like you, please apply!
If indicated, please note that years of experience are a guide; we will consider applications from all candidates who can demonstrate the skills necessary for the role.
