Job Category: Media - Broadcasting - RadioCombine your passion for Thunder basketball with an interest in broadcasting and media storytelling as a part-time Production Assistant! In this role, you will gain hands-on experience within our Emmy Award-winning broadcast department and develop an understanding of professional sports production operations. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong work ethic who thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
In this role you will:
- Record live Thunder games and melts from games using an Avid Airspeed
- Log pre-recorded Thunder games, cataloging memorable and impactful moments for editors and producers
- Assist on shoots by carrying, setting up, and managing equipment at various locations
- Shoot and edit content, and produce day turn videos for multiple platforms
- Search and help deliver footage requests for internal and external production needs
- Fulfill footage requests for live programming and post-production shows
- Help maintain cameras and broadcast equipment
- Shoot and record pre-game and post-game media press conferences
- Perform other duties as assigned
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight time schedules
- Basic knowledge of basketball terminology, Thunder and NBA storylines
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Familiarity with production techniques and video editing
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel

Additional Information:
This is a part-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Multi-Media Specialist. This role requires a flexible schedule of 20–29 hours per week, encompassing office hours, events, and game-night responsibilities during evenings, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation, as some local travel is necessary. Physical demands include lifting heavy items, climbing stairs, and working in environments with loud noise and flashing lights. The primary work location is the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City.
