Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Production Assembly team member to join our food packaging operation. In this hands-on role, you will work on both wet and dry production lines, ensuring food products meet quality and safety standards while assisting with packaging. Our team members produce quality granolas, mueslis, trail mixes and cereals. This role plays a key part in maintaining BetterBody Foods commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Essential Job Duties

· Work on wet and/or dry production lines.

· Assemble and package food products according to specifications.

· Ensure food products meet desired quality and safety standards.

· Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently.

· Assist with labeling, sealing, and final packaging of product.

· Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment in accordance with GMP and food safety standards.

· Perform routine quality inspections and remove defective items from the line.

· Adhere to all company safety procedures and guidelines.

· Performs other related tasks, as required.

· Ability to understand and follow written and spoken instructions in English.

· Ability to take and pass a food handler’s certification test within 30 days.

· Commitment to follow all company policies and procedures.

· Strict adherence to safety standards and requirements.

Requirements

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

· This job is operated in a warehouse/manufacturing facility.

· Exposure to allergens (e.g., peanuts), odors, fumes, dust, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration is frequent.

· Noise levels can be loud.

· Temperature in the warehouse varies with weather conditions.

Physical Demands

· Regularly required to talk or hear.

· Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with arms.

· Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

· Must frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.

· Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

· May occasionally be required to taste products.

Position Type, Pay and Expected Hours of Work

· This is a full-time position.

· Typical work hours and days are either Monday – Friday

· Shifts are from 1:00PM - 9:30PM or 3:00PM – 11:30PM.

Starting pay $17.00/hr Plus a 1 dollar shift differential, Total $18.00/hr

· Occasional overtime may be required.

Travel

· Occasional travel within 5 miles may be required.

Required Education and Experience

· High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education and Experience

· Prior experience working in a GMP/FDA-regulated facility.
