The Opportunity:
The Product Development team is integral in maintaining Keystone’s core values and Light Made Easy promise. The team is responsible for creating new products and improving the performance, cost, and/or quality of existing products to achieve business goals.
The Production Artist works on the Product Development team to create and edit product artwork, create spec sheet drawings, and retouch photos.
Your Impact
Follow art direction and feedback provided by the Production Art Manager to ensure consistency and quality across all deliverables
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Project teams to ensure data accuracy and completeness across all technical documentation and packaging assets
Create and maintain product specification sheets and technical data sheets
Create and maintain product instruction sheets and compatibility lists
Create and maintain product artwork, including box packaging, carton labels, and other product-facing materials
Occasionally assist with the design and layout of sales tools, presentations, or internal marketing materials
Update existing collateral while maintaining version control throughout the review and approval process
Prepare final artwork and production files with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Maintain structured file organization and version control protocols to ensure accurate archiving and efficient retrieval for future revisions
Develop accurate line drawings and dimensions using Adobe Illustrator for inclusion in spec sheets
Perform photo retouching, clipping paths, and other advanced image manipulations as needed
Track project status and updates using online project management software to ensure timely communication and delivery
Work closely with Product and Project Managers to evaluate timelines, adjust expectations, and ensure all project due dates and milestone information are accurate and up to date
Utilize existing templates to create consistent artwork and ensure all deliverables are properly aligned with template structures and specifications
Ensure all creative output is aligned with brand standards, maintaining consistency in visual identity, tone, and overall presentation across all product materials
Collaborate with team members and offer support on high-priority or time-sensitive projects

What you bring
Bachelor of the Arts in Graphic Design or related field preferred. Associate’s Degree or technical college in graphic design with experience would also be considered
1-2 years of relevant experience
Comfortable working from templates
Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat and MSOffice
Initiative to keep up with new software and adaptability to newly implemented processes
Firm fundamental knowledge of design theory, typography, color and file production prep
Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Comfortable working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Strong attention to detail
Familiar with technical products and/or terminology (electrical, electronic, or lighting related) preferred
