Job Description

Context

LVMH Fragrance and Cosmetics is a global leader in luxury beauty, with iconic brands such as Christian Dior, Guerlain, and Givenchy. Our Singapore distribution center is a key regional hub, supporting the dynamic LVMH Beauty network in Asia. The Production and Logistics Department ensures smooth supply chain operations, from material sourcing and value-added services to warehousing and delivery.

Main objective of the position

The Production and Logistics Intern will support key projects to improve assembly productivity, streamline operation processes, and assist in implementing a cloud-based transportation management platform. Working closely with cross-functional teams and 3PL, the intern will gain hands-on experience in process improvement and operations, contributing to measurable enhancements in efficiency and operational excellence.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assembly Productivity Improvement (Production)

Online productivity

  • Strengthen the quotation validation process to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct monthly productivity reviews and present findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate improvement activities and drive productivity initiatives.

Offline activity and Backoffice Efficiency

  • Review the scope of charge hands to optimize team responsibilities and workflows.
  • Work with 3PL to map current processes and create Work Instructions (WI) to standardize operations.
  • Assess and improve the efficiency of charge hands and material handlers through data-driven analysis and targeted recommendations.

Expectation in Measurable Results:

Demonstrable improvement in productivity metrics:

  • Improve online productivity by 5%
  • Reduce offline chargeable manpower by 0.5 FTE

2. Year-End Closing Period Reduction (Cross-functions)

  • Review the year-end closing impacts for all departments.
  • Propose and finalize the system and process streamlining.
  • Restructure the year-end closing exercise including timeline, role and responsibility, communication and documentation.

Expectation in Measurable Results:

Shortened year-end closing period from 1 week to 1 day, with clear documentation of steps taken and communication guidelines.

3. Spot Buy / Cloud-based TMS Platform (Logistics)

  • Support the logistics team in evaluating and implementing a cloud-based Transportation Management System and spot buying System.
  • Assist in data gathering, user requirement analysis, and validation of the new platform to enhance freight management efficiency.
  • Continuous Improvement of freight management process

Expectation in Measurable Results:

Successful implementation or pilot of the cloud-based TMS platform, with measurable improvements in spot buy process time or freight cost management.

  • Decrease shipping officer workload by 30%

Qualifications

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Able to commit for 6 months full time internship starting from Feb 2026.
  • Diploma qualification or higher, preferably in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint); experience with data analytics tools is a plus.
  • Prior internship or project experience in production, logistics, or supply chain is advantageous.

LOCATION

Position hybrid with on-site location in the Pioneer area. Company transport provided from and to Boon Lay, Jurong East, and Outram.
