This role is a part of TRATON Group R&D, located in Södertälje, Sweden
As a Product Verification & Test Rig Engineer, you will combine hands-on ownership of HIL and SIL test rigs with verification of the Workshop Suite (tWS) in physical trucks. You will ensure that the rigs are correctly built, configured, maintained and operational according to the needs of development and test teams. This includes installing and replacing ECUs and other rig-related hardware, performing software updates, configuring rigs and connected systems, and troubleshooting hardware, communication and integration issues. In addition to the rig responsibilities, you will verify tWS as a complete product in physical trucks, with particular focus on end-to-end quality, robustness, reliability and vehicle safety under realistic operating conditions.
You are a hands-on and experienced test engineer who enjoys combining practical rig engineering with structured product verification. You have at least 4 years of relevant professional experience in HIL/SIL test rig engineering, verification of software products in physical trucks, or closely related work.
Experience supporting shared HIL and SIL test rigs and using test and defect management tools such as JIRA or Zephyr is advantageous.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds – your unique experience and perspectives is valuable to us.
You will join Content Enablement & Verification, where the Verification area is responsible for end-to-end testing of the Workshop Suite. Our work covers both functional and non-functional testing, quality assurance and verification of tWS as a complete product. We also provide test tools and HIL and SIL test rigs that support efficient development and verification across the organization. We work cross-functionally and support other teams with test capabilities, technical expertise and shared solutions. Our work environment is hands-on and driven by innovation and sustainability.
Within TRATON Group R&D, you are an important part of something bigger. Joining us means gaining access to the ins and outs of the entire transportation industry.
We offer a dynamic and engaging workplace where collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement are part of everyday life. You will be part of a strong team environment that encourages knowledge sharing and close cooperation across functions.
