The Production Training Specialist is responsible for supporting the onboarding, training, and ongoing development of Production team members, including Loan Officer Assistants/ Production Associates, and Processors. This position will work closely with Production and Operations leadership to ensure team members are properly trained on mortgage guidelines, systems, loan processes, customer communication, and company procedures.
The Production Training Specialist will assist in developing training materials, facilitating virtual and in-person training sessions, monitoring production workflow trends, and providing coaching and support to improve operational consistency and loan quality throughout the organization.
This position requires strong mortgage operations knowledge, communication skills, organization, and the ability to train and mentor employees in a fast-paced environment.
- Assists with onboarding and training of Production team members, including Loan Officer Assistants, Production Associates, and Processors.
- Conducts virtual and in-person training sessions related to mortgage operations, systems, investor guidelines, compliance requirements, and production workflows.
- Develops and maintains training materials, job aids, process guides, and reference documentation.
- Provides guidance and support regarding loan file setup, disclosures, prequalification, submission expectations, and processing workflow.
- Assists team members with understanding investor guidelines, AUS findings, loan conditions, and documentation requirements.
- Supports training initiatives related to Encompass and other mortgage technology systems.
- Coordinates with Production and Operations leadership to identify training needs and performance improvement opportunities.
- Monitors trends, recurring issues, and operational challenges to recommend additional coaching or process improvements.
- Assists in creating and facilitating webinars, branch training sessions, and ongoing production development programs.
- Supports onboarding initiatives through Legacy University and other internal training platforms.
- Provides regular feedback to management regarding employee progress, workflow concerns, and training opportunities.
- Helps ensure employees remain informed of updates to company policies, procedures, investor guidelines, and regulatory changes.
- Assists with pipeline workflow education and communication between Production, Processing, Underwriting, and Closing.
- Maintains professionalism and positive working relationships with team members, branch leadership, and business partners.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
