About this role

Carrier University has an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in the design of commercial HVAC systems who wants to transfer into technical training and managing a team T he Product Training Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and continual improvement of Commercial HVAC Design and Technical courses. The Product Training Manager closely partners with product managers, marketing, field sales teams, and strategic accounts. This role requires the development of key strategic relationships within Carrier and with distribution leadership to best serve customer needs.

This is an onsite role in Charlotte NC

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the training program and the training team, also coordinate training logistics
• Act as the primary instructor for the “HVAC design” curriculum
• Lead the development of training tools, forums & learning to engage and educate sales engineers, distributors and strategic customers at the Carrier University Training Center
• Oversee Carrier University’s continuing education credit program
• Collaborate with instructional designers and subject matter experts to develop training modules for instructor-led, virtual and self-paced online learning
• Continually improve course materials, and stay abreast of the latest trends in learning development
• Cooperate with other Training Managers within Carrier on development and strategy
• Support the marketing programs where educational effort is a requirement

Basic Qualifications

• BA/BS degree
• 6 years plus experience in the design of commercial HVAC systems
• 2 years plus experience supervising a team

Preferred Qualifications

Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:

• BS/BA Engineering
• MA/MS degree
• Knowledgeable about air distribution, single and multi-zoned systems, as well as applied water system design
• Experience as an instructor and managing training programs
• Knowledge of Carrier products
• Management of continuing education credit programs, specifically IACET
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to pull data from assorted sources and synthesis in both graphic and verbal format, so that it is easily understood by the target audience
• Communicate professionally in English written and verbal format across a wide audience
• Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
• Organized with strong attention to detail, also able to manage multiple priorities
