The ProductTestLabTechnician supports New Product Development and Engineering teams by executing lab testing, managing samples, andmaintainingaccuratedocumentation throughout all stages of product development. Under the guidance of lab and engineering leadership, this role will also help define, document, and continuously improve testing procedures and lab processesas the innovation center grows and evolves.

This rolereports to the Sr Manager, Innovation andis based at the YETIThailandInnovation Center in Chachoengsao

This position is ideal for someone who isdetailoriented, curious,handson, and energized by working in afastpaced, collaborative lab environment.This individual should be excited about joininga new InnovationCenterand a growing team.

Key Responsibilities

Lab & Product Testing

  • Perform and document a wide range of onsite laboratory testsusing YETI equipment, including:

  • Thermal performance

  • Consumer product safety

  • Accelerated life cycle testing

  • Abrasion and material property testing

  • Destructive testing

  • Environmental exposure testing

  • Durability and dimensional studies

  • Partner with Design and Validation Engineersto execute testing plans and support product evaluations.

  • Assistin the creation and refinement of custom test methodswhen existing standards are unavailable.

  • Author clear,accuratetest reportsand ensure proper management of test data and records.

  • Support the design and build of new fixtures for testing equipment.

Process Definition & Lab Operations

  • Support the development, documentation, and standardization of lab procedures, work instructions, and test methods.

  • Contribute to building repeatable,wellcontrolledtesting processeswithin a growing innovation center.

  • Maintainhigh standardsfor procedure adherence, data integrity, and record keeping

  • Identifyopportunities to improve lab efficiency, organization, and testing consistency.

Sample Inventory Management

  • Manage sample intake, organization, usage tracking, and eventual destruction.

  • Maintainaccuraterecords of sample location, status, and lifecycle.

  • Conduct audits to ensure traceability and compliance with lab protocols.

Engineering & Team Support

  • Providehandsonsupport for department and companywide initiatives as needed.

  • Collaborate across teams to ensure testing results are communicated clearly and effectively.

  • Support continuous learning and skill development within the lab environment.

Qualifications & Attributes

  • Greater than 2 ofhands ontechnician experience, preferably in a testing or laboratory environmentfor a global consumer goods brand

  • Experience in a shop or lab setting stronglypreferred

  • Experience with manual millingmachineis preferred.

  • Experience with technical documentation and report writingpreferred.

  • Englishproficiencyrequired– must be able to clearly communicate test methods, results, and findings both verbally and in written documentation.

  • Strong organizational, coordination, andtimemanagementskills.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and curiosity to understand the “why” behind test outcomes.

  • Comfortable working with and analyzinglarge amountsof data.

  • Ability to manage multiple tests and priorities in afastpacedenvironment.

  • Passion for learning, procedure creation, and continuous improvement.

  • Personaltransportation (car or motorcycle) with a license isrequired
