The opportunity

Come and join us with your knowledge and experience within verification & validation. This is a great opportunity to join the verification and validation team in a global R&D environment with extensive knowledge and experience in product development and verification & validation.

The test team is performing testing of products used for protection & control of future digital substation solutions that will revolutionize the energy power grid. In this role you will be part of product development as well as maintenance of released products, and within the R&D environment collaborating with other technical expertise in hardware, software and product development.

This position located in Västerås, Sweden.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Perform product & system testing making sure that the products are meeting the requirements
  • Requirement analysis, development of test specifications, execution of test and reporting of test results.
  • Work both with manual as well as automated testing and automation of test cases.
  • Configuration of the product and system before tests according to specifications and substation automation standards
  • Troubleshooting and resolution of bugs collaborating with other technical expertise in the development teams
  • Be part of the continuous improvement process within verification & validation area.

Your background

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science or similar field
  • Over 3 years of practical work with verification & validation as test or development engineer
  • Experience of embedded real time systems, communication protocols and systems
  • Knowledge about substation automation and standards in the field e.g. IEC 61850 etc is a plus
  • Experience in the substation automation field with protection IED’s and/or system is highly meritorious
  • Systematic and accurate way of working with tests
  • Acts to improve ways of working.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, Swedish is meritorious.
