Mechanical Engineering internship position will work on projects and initiatives under the supervision of the Sustaining Engineering staff. As part of the team, the intern will develop an understanding for the Sustaining Processes and will use methods, tools, and documentation to support the overall product flow.

Tasks and Qualifications:

What You Will Do In This Role:

Utilize 3D software to modify part drawings and models.
Perform engineering change processes as necessary to support existing products.
Maintain drawing integrity by continually updating CAD drawings with applicable additions and changes.
Create preliminary and/or final drawings and models using standard drafting techniques using computer assisted design.
Conduct studies and propose improvements to the overall products.
Evaluate data collection systems, make recommendations and updates.
Provide support to the different areas such as Quality, Procurement, Production, etc..
Check and cross reference drawings and assist in producing as-build drawings for operations.
Coordinate and meet with project teams to discuss requirements and constraint issues.
Conduct task reviews to ensure alignment with technical drawings and specifications.
Prepare preliminary reports and update daily activities for management review.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Maintains high standard professionalism in attitudes and communication with fellow employees and customers.
Maintains a clean and professional office and work area environment.
