The group you’ll be a part of

The Office of the CTO is where innovation takes center stage. We inspire our global technical community to take on grand challenges, understand emerging trends, identify the critical inflections, and drive our sustainability, Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices that will define the next generation of semiconductors and continued impact.

The impact you’ll make

As a Product Sustainability Program Lead on Lam's Corporate ESG team, you will help shape the future of sustainable semiconductor manufacturing. In this role, you will drive the integration of sustainability into the design, performance, and lifecycle of industry-leading semiconductor equipment. By partnering with engineering, product, and business teams globally, you will translate complex technical data into actionable insights that reduce environmental impact, support customer sustainability goals, and accelerate Lam's journey toward a lower-carbon future.

What you’ll do

What You'll Do

Product Sustainability & ESG Leadership

  • Lead the development and management of Scope 3 Category 11 (Use of Sold Products) emissions models across Lam's semiconductor equipment portfolio.
  • Drive lifecycle assessment (LCA) programs to quantify environmental impacts and identify opportunities to improve product sustainability.
  • Develop and maintain engineering-based carbon accounting methodologies aligned with GHG Protocol standards and industry best practices.
  • Partner with global product engineering teams to define and execute long-term product sustainability roadmaps.

Data Analytics & Sustainability Insights

  • Design scalable data solutions, processes, and dashboards to centralize product sustainability metrics, track emissions reductions, and measure progress toward ESG goals.
  • Establish sustainability data standards that ensure data quality, traceability, auditability, and reporting readiness.
  • Analyze complex engineering and sustainability datasets to generate actionable insights that support product and business decisions.

Product Engineering & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with product architects, process engineers, and business leaders to integrate sustainability requirements into future product development and innovation initiatives.
  • Translate complex technical and sustainability concepts into clear business insights and customer value propositions for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and align engineering, ESG, product, and business teams to achieve sustainability objectives.

Who we’re looking for

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical field with 8+ years of experience; or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience; or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in product engineering, process engineering, sustainability engineering, ESG programs, product lifecycle analysis, or other data-driven technical roles.
  • Strong understanding of engineering systems, product performance data, and analytical problem-solving techniques.
  • Experience working with complex datasets and transforming data into meaningful business and engineering insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional programs involving engineering, operations, and business stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with Scope 3 emissions accounting, Product Carbon Footprinting (PCF), and GHG Protocol methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience conducting Lifecycle Assessments (LCA) and environmental impact studies.
  • Experience within the semiconductor, semiconductor equipment, capital equipment, industrial automation, or advanced manufacturing industries.
  • Knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks and ESG metrics.
  • Experience with analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, or similar technologies.
  • Familiarity with product sustainability, energy efficiency, decarbonization strategies, or circular economy initiatives.
  • Experience supporting customer-facing sustainability programs or environmental disclosures.
  • PMP or comparable project/program management certification is a plus.
