Job Description

Product Support Engineer – Support customers and improve mission-critical defence products

Does this resonate with you: Thrives in the interaction with external customers? Has a strong ability to navigate the dialogue between colleagues, developing products and customers using products? Enjoys working with 2nd and 3rd level support, but also developing functionality that improves and enables the usage? Well, look no more, this role is for you!

The job - Supporting products that matter

As a Product Support Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality 2nd and 3rd level support for our customers using our Defence products and services. You will also be the go-to person for product licensing, incident handling, and process improvements.

In your daily work, you will:

  • Provide technical support to external Defence customers and internal users.
  • Handle and resolve product-related incidents and service requests in close collaboration with the product development teams.
  • Manage product licensing and support our online delivery system.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to continuously improve our support processes.
  • Enhancing our support process by developing tools and functionality that improve the flow and experience for customers.

Your ability to think proactively, solve problems efficiently, and communicate clearly will be crucial to your success in this role.

Joining the team - Small team, big impact

You’ll become part of a close-knit and highly collaborative Product Support team within the Defence Product Development organisation. The team consists of two fellow Product Support Consultants and a Product Support Manager. The team is often in close cooperation with international Support teams working locally in our offices around the world. Despite our small size, we have a broad reach and are deeply integrated with the wider product development department.

We are a central function that ensures smooth day-to-day operations and long-term success of our Defence software products. Our culture is open and supportive — we value knowledge sharing, curiosity, and helping each other succeed.

Your qualifications

We’re looking for someone with some years of experience in a similar role, supporting software products in customer environments. Our new colleague must be someone who thrives in a dynamic setting where no two days are alike, and who can feel excited about making an impact in a domain that truly matters. As a Product Support Engineer, we expect you to be an outgoing individual with strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Additionally, we are looking for a new colleague bringing:

  • A relevant education in IT, i.e. as an IT-supporter, Data Technician with a speciality in Programming, Computer Scientist (Datamatiker) or similar.
  • Experience using a ticketing system (such as Ivanti or similar).
  • Proficiency in Outlook and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Familiarity with JIRA for tracking tasks and workflows.
  • ITIL Foundation or Practitioner certification (advantageous, but not required).
  • Experience from or working within the Defence sector is a plus, but not a requirement.

Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here
