Job Description

The NA Logistics Intern supports DC and Display operations at Duracell’s Fairburn Distribution Center, contributing to reporting initiatives, continuous improvement projects, and operational analysis that deliver actionable insights to DC leadership. This position offers the opportunity to develop skills in supply chain analytics, process improvement, and logistics operations while contributing to meaningful projects in a high-output environment

OF DUTIES

These are the typical duties required to fulfill the position, not a detailed description of all work required. New duties and responsibilities may be required to meet the changing demands of the business.

1. Operations & Analytics Reporting

• Collect, organize, and analyze DC performance data across inbound receipts, order fulfillment, shipping, and inventory accuracy

• Support the development of Power BI reports providing DC leadership real-time visibility into operational performance

2. Continuous Improvement & Project Support

• Support semi-automation project implementation through documentation of current-state processes, gap analysis, and milestone tracking

• Help develop standard operating procedures and training documentation for new processes

3. Distribution Center Operations

• Spend meaningful time on the DC floor learning inbound, pick/pack, shipping, and inventory

• Support inventory cycle count programs and carrier appointment scheduling analysis;

4. Display Production & Logistics

• Support Display Production assist with SKU-level throughput analysis to identify capacity constraints and recommend scheduling improvements

• Track Display Operations performance metrics and prepare summary materials for weekly operations reviews

What You’ll Learn

By the end of this internship, you will have hands-on experience with how a high-volume FMCG distribution center operates including inbound receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping execution, and display production. You will understand how processes, procedures, and performance metrics connect across the supply network, and leave with practical knowledge of how KPIs are tracked, reported, and used to keep daily operations running at a high level.

EDUCATIONAL/JOB EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• SAP and Power BI experience coursework or case study exposure a plus

• Self-motivated individual with exceptional organization skills and attention to detail.

• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment

Working Conditions

This role is based full-time at the Fairburn Distribution Center in Fairburn, Georgia. The intern will split time between office-based analytical work and time on the DC floor. Some early morning or evening hours may be required to observe multi-shift operations. This is not a remote or hybrid position.
