The candidate is expected to be an FX advisor, with the key objective to engage RMs/clients (including Singapore based)and support FX Premium clients’ trading activities to generate FX revenue. Additionally, to embrace a change mindset to lead a transformation to Bank of Singapore’s FX business and positively influence an innovation culture to deliver customer led solutions and efficient processes to enable business scalability and rapid adaptation to an ever-changing landscape.

The candidate would also engage in product management activities and projects for FX. product.

FX Advisory & Premium

  • Contribute to the Advisory & Premium team with personal revenue target (where applicable).
  • Provide advisory and accurate and prompt execution of FX & derivatives products to both RM and clients in fast-moving markets.
  • Provide advisory coverage on FX-related products to markets via various channels including preparation of daily publications, weekly investment meetings and ad hoc campaigns.
  • Identifying business transformation opportunities and using data for business scalability and targeted advice.
  • Execute internal and external FX-related trades, where required.
  • Regularly come up with market opportunity and trading ideas by understanding various economic forces and correlation in the market. Provide post-trade risk management advisory.
  • Ensure clear understanding of margining rule at product & portfolio level.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with front office sales teams.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with market counterparties to obtain flow information and best execution.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Using data to uncover new FX business opportunities (identify potential accounts)
  • Leverage on internal network to acquire clients for premium business
  • Drive improvement in efficiency of the FX Premium & Advisory processes
  • Conduct trainings on processes and products.
  • Support product development and management activities covering the front-to-back lifecycle for FX products to ensure compliance to bank’s policies and regulations.
  • Support in FX related change projects/initiatives.
  • Candidate may be required to perform other duties when needs arise.

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Preferably hold CMFAS RES2B and CM-SIP
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in dealing FX market, preferably private banking
  • Fast and accurate dealing acumen
  • Strong commercial acumen, focused on enhancing customer experience while staying focused delivering significant improvements in revenue, productivity and efficiency
  • Strong understanding of FX and Derivatives including complex product
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills and strong team-player.
  • Having a passion for business transformation and using data for sales engagement is a plus.
  • Strong commercial acumen, focused on enhancing customer experience while staying focused delivering significant improvements in revenue, productivity and efficiency.
  • High professionalism and energy level, able to engage and build relationships with clients well.
  • Self – driven, motivated and committed to service excellence.
  • A good team player.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • Preferable for candidates with HKIB Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) professional qualification
