Compensation
The compensation target for this role is: $85,000 - $100,000Since 2015, Purple Innovations has been on a mission to improve lives by transforming how people experience comfort. The Product Sourcing Manager plays a critical role in our Sourcing team, leading efforts toidentify, evaluate, and collaborate with suppliers to ensure the availability of quality materials and components. Reporting to theSeniorDirector of Sourcing, the role involves strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and contributing to the overall success of Purple's product development and manufacturing.
Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
Identifyand evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate terms, and manage relationships to ensure quality andtimelydelivery.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance, to align sourcing activities with project timelineswith a focus on new product development
Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry dynamics to inform sourcing decisions.
Monitor and assess supplier performance,identifyingareas forimprovementand implementing corrective actions.
Collaborate with the Product Development team toidentifynew materials and components that align with product requirements and innovation goals.
Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in sourcing and procurement.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, ora relatedfield. Advanceddegree isa plus.
Minimumof3years of experience in product sourcing or a related role.
Proven experience in negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers.
Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Familiarity with sourcing software and tools.
Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and quality standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
