Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and driven DevOps Engineer (T2) to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure for mission-critical applications. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including development, QA, and architecture to enable seamless software delivery through advanced CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native best practices. You will play a key role in ensuring system reliability, performance, and operational excellence across 24/7 production environments hosted on Azure and AWS.

As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for driving DevOps strategy, mentoring engineers, and establishing best practices across automation, monitoring, and release management. You will lead efforts in cloud infrastructure design, deployment automation, and incident resolution while continuously improving system scalability, security, and resilience. This role requires strong technical leadership, deep expertise in DevOps tools and cloud platforms, and the ability to influence engineering practices in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Education

  • Bachelor’s in engineering degree or equivalent degree.

Technical Experience:

  • Strong knowledge in PowerShell, YAML, ARM, Octopus, Terraform
  • Understanding of C#/.NET, ASP.NET, .NET Core, MS SQL
  • Expertise in a SCM/CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub, Gitlab, Jenkins, Terraform, GitHub actions, Docker, Kubernetes/AKS, Ansible, etc.
  • Operating system: Linux or Windows
  • MS SQL Server, Visual Studio 2017-2019-2022, Azure DevOps in an Agile environment
  • MS Azure & AWS is a mandatory

Must Have :

  • Experience of 3 to 6 years. Minimum 3 years of exp in DevOps.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines for development and maintenance projects.
  • Troubleshoot production systems following an incident.
  • Script and automate the creation of infrastructureIaC
  • Coordinate design-related infrastructure and setup at different stages of the project.
  • Maintain working knowledge of current infrastructure and future trends.
  • Guide fellow engineers by clarifying requirements, providing technical insights, and removing roadblocks.
  • Keep up to date with latest technologies, trends and provide inputs / recommendations as required.
  • Networking understanding : VNET, Subnet, Public & private endpoint etc.
  • Develop, introduce, and document new processes.
  • Experience with release management, product rollouts, and service operationalization.
  • Deep understanding of Cloud security architecture.
  • Proven experience deploying and operating in Public Clouds (Azure).
  • Solid understanding of core Azure & AWS Services, working knowledge of CLIs, and cloud software development kit (SDKs).
  • Proficient in PowerShell Scripting Languages/YAML/ARM.
  • Hands-on knowledge of implementing multi-staged CI / CD with tools like Azure DevOps, Octopus, Git, Etc.
  • Strong knowledge in infrastructure-as-a-code approaches with Puppet, Ansible or Terraform
  • Strong knowledge on various monitoring tools such as Azure Application Insights/Cloudwatch/AppDynamics/Datadog
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of Clustering, Load Balancing, High Availability and Disaster Recovery, Auto Scaling, etc.
  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Proven track record of working with external customers to understand their needs and translate into technical solutions.
  • Desire and ability to thrive in a distributed technical environment while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passionate about latest technology trends with a strong desire for innovation.
  • Self-motivated and self-managing and able to work independently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work in Agile team of .Net developers, UX/UI developers, QA engineers to drive the DevOps activities of our business critical (24/7/365) cloud-based application.
  • Drive the appropriate use & implementation of technology to deliver high quality solutions that delight our customers.
  • Play an important role as a DevOps engineer defining the framework, technology, processes / best practices that can be incorporated
  • Guide the development and delivery of maintainable and highly scalable multi-tier SaaS applications with web-based clients on the Microsoft technology stack
  • Deploy application to Azure using Azure DevOps and Azure PaaS.
  • Contribute to necessary Architecture documentation, participate in gate review to include Infrastructure, security, and performance.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Manager
