Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) is looking for a first line Product & Services Test Quality Manager to join our team in Everett, WA They will be supporting 777 Full Scale Structures fatigue testing and multiple BCA programs.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage and track quality reviews of proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirements ensuring early quality involvement in various program developments

  • Supervises eight Quality Inspectors in the maintenance of the Full-Scale fatigue testing of the 777-9 aircraft structure and various tooling inspections

  • Participate with stakeholders to develop potential preventive or corrective actions and implementation for commercial aircraft lab test programs

  • Oversee system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements and reports results to management

  • Analyzes data to provide material review dispositions for nonconforming materials, parts and equipment

  • Participate in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) processes

  • Develop quality procedures

  • Work with minimal supervision

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Do you meet this requirement?

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”

  • 5+ years of experience working with Quality and/or Safety Corrective Action/Preventative Action, Root Cause Corrective Actions

  • 5+ years of experience in quality inspection and/or auditing

  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)

  • 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, Power Point, Excel, and Word

  • 3+ years of experience in the application of AS9100

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher, or equivalent work experience

  • Have or have held an Airframe and Power plant (A&P) License

  • Experience working in a Lab/Flight Test environment

  • 3+ years of experience in Project Management

  • 5+ years of experience in quality, lab test and/or metrology

  • 3+ years of experience working with Regulatory agencies (e.g. DCMA, FAA)

  • 3+ years of experience leading or facilitating continuous improvement/lean principles workshops
