About The Role:

The SEMD Execution Associate is a developmental role designed to build future technical talent for the SEMD Asset Management Center. Through structured training, mentorship, and rotational assignments, the associate develops the technical, analytical, and customer support capabilities required to support Maintenance Planning, Condition Monitoring, and Asset Management functions. This position provides hands-on experience in fleet reliability, predictive maintenance, maintenance planning, asset health monitoring, customer engagement, and operational excellence. The role serves as a pipeline for future advancement into Maintenance Planner, Condition Monitoring Advisor, Asset Manager, and other Asset Management Center positions.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Planning Development

• Support maintenance planners in the creation and execution of preventive maintenance plans.
• Assist with planning outages, overhauls, inspections, and major maintenance events.
• Review equipment operating hours and maintenance history to identify upcoming service requirements.
• Support work scope development and maintenance schedule optimization.
• Learn Caterpillar maintenance recommendations and customer maintenance strategies.

Condition Monitoring Development

• Support Condition Monitoring Advisors in monitoring fleet health through remote diagnostics and predictive technologies.
• Analyze condition monitoring data including SOS Services, vibration analysis, thermography, and engine performance trends.
• Assist in identifying emerging equipment issues and recommending corrective actions.
• Participate in customer health reviews and fleet reliability discussions.
• Develop competency in Caterpillar condition monitoring tools and reporting systems.

Asset Management Development

• Assist Asset Managers with customer fleet performance reviews.
• Support preparation of reliability reports, KPI scorecards, and fleet health assessments.
• Participate in customer meetings and operational reviews.
• Learn asset lifecycle management principles and total cost of ownership strategies.
• Support initiatives focused on improving equipment availability, reliability, and maintenance compliance.

Operational Excellence

• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the Asset Management Center.
• Develop proficiency in Caterpillar digital tools and customer support systems.
• Maintain accurate documentation, records, and customer communications.
• Participate in cross-functional projects involving engineering, product support, dealers, and customers.
• Complete assigned training and certification programs.

Summary Pay Range:

$81,370.00 - $122,060.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
