An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self-motivated leader to join the Trent Fleet & Mature Value Stream as Product Services Manager

With over 750 aircraft in service, the Trent 700 fleet is one of the biggest fleets in Rolls-Royce and critical to the success and our future. This position, reporting to the Vice President of Fleet Management, leads all activity related to delivery of the Trent 700 Service Operational Plan through management of the in service fleet of engines. It forms the primary interface for the Engine Value Stream with global Aftermarket Operations and Customer Regional Teams ensuring customers are supported in accordance with our service commitments. The Trent 700 fleet size is one of the largest Civil Aerospace fleets, driving maintenance events per year and the management of these is critical to the success of Rolls-Royce and our diverse customer base.

Responsibilities:

  • Define the fleet management strategy and policy, including engine maintenance event plans and in service campaign issues, ensuring containment, root cause and corrective actions are in place.
  • Set the strategy for in-service implementation of engine modifications and ensures delivery to meet fleet reliability targets through the Customer Regional Teams and Aftermarket Operations.
  • Set the Engine Value Stream requirements, provide forecasts, load signals and gain commitment acceptance from service providers (e.g. Aftermarket Operations and Supply Chain) to deliver the operational plan. Ensure delivery of that plan to maximise business returns and meet customer satisfaction targets.
  • Deliver the fleet health by actively identifying all risks and opportunities to the delivery of the operational plan, devise mitigations and corrective actions where appropriate and drive these actions to completion.
  • For fleet wide issues, lead cross organisation IPTs to manage the recovery back to plan of any service delivery issues impacting the plan.

Preferred requirements:

  • Desire to make a difference in a challenging operational environment through excellent collaboration, teamwork and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience or knowledge of aftermarket services, engine maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO) or operations within aerospace.
  • Understanding of engine time on wing drivers and fleet health.
  • Knowledge of engine overhaul network and engine MRO practices.
  • Understanding of civil aerospace and airline operations.
  • Understanding of sales and operational execution planning and control processes.
  • Ability to connect operational plans with financial performance / decision making.
