Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Product Security Engineering (PSE) is seeking an Engineering Leader to join our leadership team as the Product Security Engineering Site Leader for functional responsibilities and the 787 Program. You will be assigned to the Engineering Director of BCA PSE. As part of the BCA PSE Leadership team, you will be deployed and directly accountable to program and project leadership teams for the successful integration, planning, and execution of PSE for multiple introductory, new and legacy Airplane Programs that ensures Engineering Excellence and first-time quality. This Product Security Engineering Senior Manager position is located in Charleston, South Carolina.

The selected candidate will contribute to and execute upon our shared PSE vision and priorities for the delivery of safe, secure, and resilient commercial airplanes’ products and the aviation ecosystem. This is accomplished through the successful planning of integration of PSE and the deployment of a committed PSE workforce that delivers engineering excellence on behalf of the program. The candidate will build and sustain a PSE functional capability team in Boeing South Carolina.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Manages employees and first-level managers developing, implementing, and sustaining product security and resiliency throughout the product requirements, design, build, test, production, operations, and support lifecycle.
  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 14+ years of related engineering and leadership experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
  • 10+ years of technical leadership and team leadership
  • Experience in facilitation, consulting, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence at the executive level
  • Experience in engineering project planning or project management
  • Ability to build and deliver executive level presentations and coordinate and drive tasks and actions with senior managers
  • Strong communication skills and personal accountability
  • Leadership experience in engineering and/or organizational leadership/program management
  • Experience with Software Development, Architecture, and/or Product Management, or Systems Engineering
  • Experience in a role that required strong communication skills, written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Experience with Software Development, Architecture, and/or Product Management, or Systems Engineering
  • Experience do you have in systems engineering, systems integration, software engineering, electrical engineering, certification, network security and/or cybersecurity
  • At least one of the following certifications: CompTIA Security+, Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Experience providing technical leadership to cross functional engineering projects
