Job Description

As Account Manager Real Estate (regio West Vlaanderen/Kortrijk), you are the ambassador and first point of contact on behalf of ING Lease for all matters relating to your customer portfolio, both for our customers and within our own organization and ING Belgium. You create visibility in the market and in the distribution channels Business Banking and Wholesale Banking within ING Belgium. You contribute to the planned growth in production and profitability, while respecting the strategy and guidelines of ING Lease. You are part of team and report to the Head of Real Estate Lease and Renewable Energy.

Your key responsibilities

  • You realize the new production target in your region from deal initiation up to notary deed
  • You (pro)actively manage your client portfolio by:
    • having prospect/client meetings and presentations/sales pitches
    • analyzing and evaluating the customer’s needs
    • structure the real estate lease transactions
    • translating them in an attractive ING Lease proposal
    • evaluate the real estate project, preparing the creditpackage and defending it in the credit committee
    • negotiating and closing the deal
    • ensuring a smooth execution of the transaction
  • As an ambassador, you actively represent ING Lease at internal and external events (including giving presentations). You encourage the ING Business Centers and relationship managers to promote and sell ING Lease in order to attain the commercial objectives.
  • You provide continuous development/trainings for the relationship managers of ING Belgium.
  • You propose new commercial initiatives to be implemented together with the team.
  • You build expertise in real estate and specialized leasing matters: technical, tax, legal, markets trends…
  • Last but not least, you build and develop a solid and trusting relationship with the customer, while striving for a perfect balance between customer satisfaction, profitability and customer risk.

As an Account Manager Real Estate Lease you will also need:

  • a master degree or equivalent by experience
  • at least 5 to 10 years experience in a sales function in a business environment
  • proven track record in real estate or leasing is an asset
  • strong negotiation skills on CEO/CFO level
  • excellent oral and written skills Dutch, good oral and written skills in English and in French
