We're looking for a dynamic Product Sales & Business Development Manager to join the Howden Compressors Sales & Proposals team in Renfrew, Glasgow.
This is a high-impact commercial role focused on securing complex, high-value compressor package projects across global Energy and Industrial markets. The successful candidate will join a large packaging division specialising in Screw and Turbo Compressor technology, working alongside Product Sales Managers and a bid team of professionals, while collaborating with a global network of Business Development Managers across Chart/Howden.
Rather than traditional business development, the focus of the role is leading the full proposal and bid process for complex Screw and Turbo Compressor packages through to purchase order placement. You will act as the key interface between customers and internal stakeholders, developing winning technical and commercial solutions while coordinating engineering, proposals, procurement, project management and operations teams. Howden's compressor technologies support a wide range of applications across Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Wastewater and Industrial markets worldwide.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys technical solution selling, managing complex bids, and working directly with EPCs, licensors, end users and contractors on major industrial projects. Travel is ad hoc rather than constant and is typically around 20-30%, with assigned territories and customer responsibility determined upon joining the business.
Howden has been at the forefront of developing engineered solutions for industrial processes since 1854, with a portfolio that includes compressors, blowers, fans, steam turbines and rotary heat exchangers.
