As aProduct Safety Specialistat MKS MSDyou will play a critical role in ensuring the safe use, handling, and global compliance of chemical products used in advanced surface finishing technologies. This position supports the development, classification, and documentation of chemical productsin accordance withinternational regulations, contributing to the company’s commitment to safety, sustainability, and regulatory excellence.You will be working closely with colleagues from your own team, teammanager,and other cross-functional departments.Openand clear communication with the associate manager and manager is expected. You are expected tocome up withyour own ideas and approaches toexecute the tasks and duties successfully When required, you will also act as a support to customer through consultation, trouble shooting, process optimization,maintainingthe confidentiality and compliance of the department and the company.
You Will Make an Impact By:
Authoring SDS (Safety Data Sheets) & labels for various countries acc. to GHS ( Global Harmonized system& local regulations).
Solving Issues related to SDS & labels from internal & external customers.
Authoring Compliance documents & Custom clearance documents.
Handling & supervising WW projects in cooperation with WW colleagues.
Provide council to R&D colleagues with respect to listing, LVEs (Low Volume exemption)& Trade secrets for raw materials and products.
Process and implement legal requirements with respect to Classification/Safety/Labelling and Packaging of raw materials and products
Maintain and provide all required documentation.
Follow HSE & company guidelines.
Product Safety content development for internal/external communication.
Implementation of Global projects at regional level
Participating in relevant knowledge sharing platforms.
Supporting in ISO audits
Skills You Bring:
Master’s in Chemistry Applied Chemistry/ Organic Chemistry/ Inorganic Chemistry or a related field
3+ years of relevant experience in Product Safety, Regulatory Affairs or Product Stewardship
Very good knowledge of GHS and its national implementations, Dangerous Goods Regulations (IATA-DGR, IMDG Code, ADR)
Very good in written and spoken English.
Ability to work in a highly accurate and structured manner.
Strong sense of responsibility, confidentiality, discretion, and dedication.
Excellent communication, positive attitude, keen observation skills, and team skills.
Very good knowledge with respect to Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
