What you will be responsible for:
Inbound Product Inspections:
Performs inbound product reviews, functional testing and visual inspection of new and existing products to ensure they meet our quality standards. A combination of “new” and “existing” products are prioritized for testing and are released into inventory or held in quarantine as required. Products are released once they are confirmed to comply with relevant certifications and are manufactured to the correct specifications. Lab equipment maintenance and the auditing of available lab equipment is a key part of this position to ensure the timely release of products
In-process Inspection (product audits of inventory):
Selects samples of finished goods from inventory to proactively audit the quality of the products being received from vendors and records the results. Performs audits to follow up on customer reported issues, confirms if the inventory is exposed to the customer reported defect and communicates the findings to Product Management and Product Quality groups.
RMA Processing:
Handle returned defective products by sorting, receiving, and testing. Record results and manage the disposition of units for repacking or recycling, contributing to efficient product return processes.
Data Entry, Inspection Reports, and Administration:
Records the inspection results and prepares reports summarizing the results of inbound/ in process inspections and communicates the findings to the Product Management, Product Quality and Supply Chain groups. Maintains the quarantine database by setting and removing flags products can be released out of quarantine or held for QC inspection.
