Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr / Project Quality Manager/Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the quality aspects of new product delivery projects and continuous improvement initiatives for mature products. This role is critical in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

New Product Delivery:

  • Lead and manage quality assurance activities during the new product development phase and lifecycle activities.
  • Oversee the execution of product realisation (i.e. design input process, design verification and validation activities, design transfer) and lifecycle management.
  • Drive risk management activities, design quality and process quality related activities during the product life cycle.
  • Represents the Quality team and member of cross-functional Project Leadership Team and provides regular quality performances.
  • Provide leadership in design quality throughout product development, ensuring integration of quality standards into design.
  • Possess strong technical expertise in DFX methodologies and related areas, including manufacturing, assembly, and testing.
  • Quality’s voice in the design reviews and Milestone reviews – Ensuring risks are clearly articulated and mitigation strategy is plausible and robust.
  • Lead quality related problem solving and root cause analysis during design and manufacturing.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks in manufacturing process.
  • Enable and ensure supplier compliance to Product/Process specification and relevant regulatory requirements.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives for mature products.
  • Analyse product performance data and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead and facilitate corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams (i.e development, manufacturing, engineering, marketing teams) to enhance product quality, reliability and performance.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of improvement activities.
  • Provide training and support to staff on quality-related topics.

Capabilities and Requirements:

  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality assurance role or relevant Technical roles within a product development environment.
    • Experience in the consumer electronics or technology industry is preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements (IEC60335)
    • Proficiency in Technical Project / Program management with PMP certification preferred.
    • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g. DfX, FMEA, Six Sigma, 8D, SPC, APQP).
    • Experience with product validation and verification processes.
    • Experience with Process / Design Risk assessment and mitigation.
    • Experience with Supplier Management in Quality and/or Development functions
    • Familiarity with reliability engineering principles and practices.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
    • Assertiveness to safeguard product quality
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvements.
