The ContiTech group sector develops and manufactures, for example, cross-material, environmentally friendly and intelligent products and systems for the automotive industry, railway engineering, mining, agriculture and other key industries. Perform the product platform development for one Product Group of the Sector ContiTech with the following goals:

- Create and maintain a customer focused platform for one Product Group for all IND BA's with focus basically on one product family, focusing on consolidation of materials, components, global cost saving measures and sustainability

- Create product platform by collecting Bill of Material Data and creating the material and specification overview

- Develop strategic Product portfolio by defining strategic Materials and Specifications and ensuring to cover Product Requirements in all markets

- Aligning the Product Platform Strategy with the Regional Product Management, Product Development, Application Engineering, Material Platform Development and Operations

- Implement Activities driven by global Strategy and local Plant Activities within a Product Platform in the global Platform strategy and coordinate the activities with the regional teams

- Efficient project management in PLC D1 process landscape with steering of relevant communication to stakeholders.

- Lead: Project, Design review, Gate review

- Steer: Material Development, CAD, FEA, prototype production, product testing, Tech Centers, production concept, eCR for production and/or testing tooling/equipment (if needed), SCM concept, profitability check (including purchased components), first production run, benchmark

- knowledge and usage of basic quality tools, e.g. FMEA, Six Sigma

Qualifications

- Technical degree (min Bachelor) in engineering, material science or related area

- Experienced developer

- Project management experience

- Experience in development of new products

- Development of products

- Test concept development for products

- Material understanding

-Development concept experience (DOE, etc.)

- Understanding of production concepts

- Experience as project leader

- Experience in international customer relations, cultural sensitivity

- Good cross functional understanding

- Excellent communication skills (native language & English)

- Understanding of business context
