Job Description

You see the big picture, you’ve always worked on a grand scale, and now you’re ready to re-focus on grand impact.

You want broad scope and collaboration, mixed with autonomy and impact.

In this role, you'll:

Join the Regulatory Transformation & Insights team within Transport for NSW and play a key role in delivering the RegStar program transforming how regulatory services are designed and delivered across NSW. In this critical role you’ll be responsible for end-to-end management of a group of products/schemes which represent key value provided by Transport for NSW to customers.

Provide end-to-end ownership over the course of the product lifecycle, taking products from strategy (mobilisation), design, build + test and product release. You will establish an effective product team and culture to support the development and management of the project, liaising with inter-agency and cross-agency stakeholders including project/program leadership, technology domain leads, and the voice of the customer (end-user).

Lead product discovery, research and stakeholder consultation to deeply understand customer needs, developing artefacts (e.g. customer journeys, process maps, prototypes) to inform design, prioritisation and solution development.

Own and continuously refine the product backlog and roadmap, including prioritisation of epics, features and user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and adapting to changing dependencies, risks and insights.

Partner with cross-functional teams (design, technical, QA, Scrum) to support sprint planning, backlog grooming, delivery readiness and velocity, providing rapid decision-making, clearing blockers, and ensuring features meet ‘definition of done’.

Act as the central point of coordination across stakeholders and agencies, driving alignment, transparency and communication, supporting governance through reporting and demos, and embedding customer-centric practices and change alignment across the program.

Fixed term, fulltime role to 30 June 2027. Your home base will be Macquarie Park, with hybrid working arrangements.
