Job Description:

This job is responsible for maximizing the value for one or more products. Key responsibilities include working with stakeholders to understand their needs, and with product managers or specialists to ensure they are aligning on priorities and creating the vision and roadmap for the product to align with strategic direction for the business or technology domain. Job expectations include ensuring delivery of products that meet the expectations of our clients, including features, security, availability, resiliency, timelines and costs.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Owner to lead strategic client experience technology initiatives supporting Business-to-Business (B2B) programs. This individual will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders, product management, and technology teams, driving the evolution of client-facing capabilities from concept through delivery.

The successful candidate will possess a strong technical foundation, deep business analysis skills, and the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable product requirements. This role requires strategic thinking, stakeholder management, backlog ownership, and partnership across multiple technology and business organizations to deliver innovative client experience solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Generates the vision and roadmap for the product to align with strategic direction for the business or technology domain
  • Communicates the product vision and roadmap to stakeholders and the team
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to understand their needs and problems
  • Prioritizes and creates work for a team, learning to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Creates, prioritizes and refines stories in the product backlog
  • Reviews and accepts stories and makes decisions regarding scope and requirements
  • Partners with the team to ensure that optimum value is obtained through technology and through subject-matter expertise of the business
  • Partner with Product Managers and business stakeholders to define product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with users, clients, and business partners to understand needs, pain points, and opportunities for innovation.
  • Translate business requirements into well-defined user stories, features, and acceptance criteria.
  • Lead functional design efforts and serve as the primary product decision-maker for assigned initiatives.
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, risk, dependencies, and strategic priorities.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, UX teams, and business analysts to ensure solutions meet business objectives and technical standards.
  • Drive alignment between product decisions and enterprise data, technology, governance, and client experience strategies.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, demonstrations, and release planning activities.
  • Support change management, release management, and production readiness activities.
  • Monitor delivery progress, identify risks and dependencies, and facilitate issue resolution across cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, Business Analyst, or related experience.
  • Proven experience managing products or platforms throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, Agile practices, and product management principles.
  • Experience documenting business requirements, business processes, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with both business and technology stakeholders.
  • Experience delivering client-facing digital capabilities or technology solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience using Agile delivery tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification.
  • Financial Services or Banking industry experience.
  • Experience supporting client experience, customer feedback, customer engagement, or digital servicing platforms.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, data integration, cloud technologies, and modern digital architectures.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Experience with enterprise data strategy, analytics, reporting, or customer insights platforms.
  • Strong organizational and program coordination skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes across teams without direct authority.
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams.
