General Information:

The Product Owner for Simulation Engineering Tools is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering digital solutions that enhance simulation workflows across engineering teams. This role bridges the gap between engineering, business stakeholders, vendors and development teams to ensure that simulation tools are efficient, scalable, and aligned with organizational strategy.

The ideal candidate combines technical understanding of engineering simulation processes with strong product leadership, stakeholder management, and agile delivery skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide functional leadership and direction to the team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Be an active promoter of agile methodologies
• Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for simulation engineering tools.
• Translate business and engineering needs into a clear product strategy that supports innovation and operational efficiency.
• Conduct market and technology research to identify opportunities to improve simulation workflows.
• Partner with engineering teams to understand requirements, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with R&D, IT, and enterprise architects to ensure alignment with technical standards and digital transformation goals.
• Partner with vendors to address requirements, monitor industry trends, and support future business needs.
• Manage product budget, headcount planning, and cost allocation to stakeholders while ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Continuously benchmark market trends and technologies to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and maintain product quality aligned with stakeholder needs.

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field;
• Experience working with engineering simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, Siemens Simcenter, Abaqus, MATLAB/Simulink, Modelica-based tools);
• Proven track record as a Product Owner or similar product leadership role;
• Hands-on understanding of simulation workflows, simulation processes, and engineering data management;
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills;
• Experience working in agile development environments;
• Familiarity with PLM systems, HPC environments, or digital engineering platforms preferred;
• Knowledge of scripting or programming (Python, MATLAB, or similar);
• Certifications: CSPO, PSPO, SAFe PO/PM, or equivalent preferred;
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
