Job Description

The Product Owner - Oracle Cloud Financials and ERP is responsible for driving the ongoing transformation, enhancement, and optimization of the organization’s Oracle Cloud Financials and ERP platform. This role blends product ownership, project management, business analysis, and technical translations to ensure Oracle solutions effectively support Finance, Accounting, and Procurement operations. Acting as a key liaison between functional stakeholders and technical teams, they translate business needs into scalable, well‑designed system solutions. They oversee delivery across local, nearshore, and offshore resources while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and roadmaps. They champion continuous improvement and best practices across Oracle Cloud Financials and ERP capabilities. The ideal candidate brings a balance of consulting, industry, and functional experience, enabling both strategic thinking and pragmatic execution.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Product Owner for Oracle Cloud Financials and ERP, owning the roadmap, backlog, and prioritization of enhancements and transformation initiatives.
  • Lead and support Oracle Financials/ERP transformation and enhancement projects from intake through delivery.
  • Partner closely with Finance, Accounting, and Procurement SMEs to elicit, analyze, and document functional requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable system designs, configuration decisions, and detailed functional specifications.
  • Manage and coordinate work across local, nearshore, and offshore functional and technical resources.
  • Provide project management oversight, including scope management, dependency tracking, risk mitigation, and delivery accountability.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure integrations, reports, and extensions align with functional design and business needs.
  • Drive adoption of Oracle best practices, standardization, and continuous improvement across financial and procurement processes.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, balancing user experience, system capabilities, and long‑term platform sustainability.
  • Support testing activities including test strategy, test case review, defect triage, and user acceptance testing coordination.
  • Ensure documentation, change management, and knowledge transfer are completed to support long‑term platform ownership.
  • Monitor system performance and user feedback to identify enhancement opportunities and optimize platform value.
  • All other duties as assigned to meet evolving business needs.

Qualifications

  • Education: Undergraduate degree in Information Systems, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, from an accredited college or university.
  • Certification/Licensure: Oracle Cloud Financials certification(s) or similar ERP certifications preferred.
  • Experience serving as a Product Owner, Business Systems Analyst, or Project Manager supporting Oracle Cloud Financials and ERP implementations or enhancements.
  • Strong functional knowledge of Finance, Accounting, and/or Procurement processes within an ERP environment.
  • Demonstrated experience translating business requirements into system configuration and functional design specifications.
  • Experience managing or coordinating distributed delivery teams, including offshore and nearshore resources.
  • Background that includes a mix of consulting, industry, and functional ERP experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across the business and IT, including senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated discretion and confidentiality in handling and protecting sensitive information.
  • Technical: Proficient with common office technologies, including Windows PCs, Microsoft O365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and web conferencing (Teams, Zoom, Webex, etc.)
  • Environment: Comfort commuting to/from and working in a 100% on-site setting (listed in this posting), with travel for related meetings/events.
