Position Summary

The Product Owner (Application Manager) is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of Deloitte University applications and ensuring they deliver measurable business value. This role partners with business and IT stakeholders to drive adoption, manage vendors, and optimize application performance.

This is an in-office role which works 100% onsite (five days a week) at our Westlake, TX Deloitte location.

Recruiting for this role ends on 6/20/26.

Work you’ll do

  • Oversee application configuration, lifecycle management, upgrades, and subscription administration across a defined portfolio.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to manage incidents, integrations, SLAs, and performance improvements.
  • Drive process optimization and operational strategies that align application delivery with evolving business needs and IT best practices.
  • Lead change management and end-user enablement, including training, communications, and documentation for new and upgraded applications.
  • Ensure application compliance and risk management through security, privacy, and business continuity practices.
  • Monitor and report on application health using dashboards, analytics, and proactive alerting to minimize downtime.
  • Manage budgets, licensing, renewals, and inventory for supported applications and related service providers.
  • Provide escalation support for complex issues impacting availability, performance, and data integrity.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of environments, integrations, configuration, and operating procedures.
  • Oversee the selection, implementation, deployment, and lifecycle management of enterprise applications.
  • Document and diagram application environments, integrations, and user flows; train team members and business stakeholders as needed.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to manage upgrades, incidents, integrations, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Guide application-related process improvements and support risk mitigation, data protection, and business continuity planning.
  • Develop operating instructions, configuration documentation, and knowledge bases for all supported applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues impacting application availability, performance, or data integrity.
  • Monitor, report on, and proactively address application metrics using dashboards, analytics, or alerting tools.
  • Manage budgeting, licensing, contract renewals, and inventory for applications and service providers.
  • Stay abreast of security, privacy, and compliance standards relevant to application management and data stewardship.
  • Provide training and end-user support for new or upgraded applications and spearhead change management activities.
  • Manage all asset inventory, assignment, upkeep, tracking, and maintenance.

Customer Experience

The Customer Experience (CXO) team is DT - US first line of contact with personnel. Providing walk-up support, asset management, PC compliance, and mobile devices support, CXO provides hands-on support to Deloitte employees.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration.
  • Minimum 6 years of related experience with streaming technologies, lighting, audio, and live production. Experience in media infrastructure engineering, broadcast operations, or video production environments. Experience managing application portfolios, upgrades, integrations, and vendor relationships.
  • Onsite at Westlake, TX Deloitte office (Deloitte University).
  • Minimum 1 year of previous people leadership or project management experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Preferred:

  • Strong understanding of application architectures, integrations (APIs, middleware), and data flows.
  • Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and SaaS operations (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP), including environments, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Experience with security, privacy, and compliance standards (e.g., access management, data protection, SOX/GDPR considerations).
  • Proficiency with monitoring and analytics tools (e.g., Splunk, SolarWinds native platform dashboards).
  • Ability to develop and maintain documentation: configuration guides, SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge bases.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead application lifecycle activities: implementation, configuration, release management, and decommissioning.
  • Experience with change, incident, and problem management processes; strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Capability to manage budgets, licensing, contracts, and renewals for applications and service providers.
  • Competence in business continuity and disaster recovery planning for critical applications.

This compensation range is specific to Westlake and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current range is $102,500 to $210,600. 

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
