We're looking for a Product Owner to drive the discovery, delivery, and continuous improvement of a connected suite of digital portfolio products. You'll work at the intersection of user needs, data, and organizational strategy — defining problems worth solving, shaping measurable outcome-based goals, and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver real value. This is a hands-on role for someone who communicates with clarity, thrives in ambiguity, and knows how to keep a team moving in the right direction.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Own Product Outcomes and Value

You are accountable for defining, pursuing and validating outcomes that create tangible user and business value.

• Define data-as-a-product goals and measurable success metrics tied to user behavior and business value.
• Translate ambiguous problems into measurable outcomes, using user insights and data rather than assumptions
• Connect day-to-day delivery with long-term value through outcome-oriented sprint goals.
• Track value metrics post-release, interpret real user behavior (not just delivery velocity), and use cloud data platform and GenAI insights to adapt direction.

1. Lead Continuous Product Discovery

You are accountable for reducing uncertainty and ambiguity through continuous discovery.

• Lead the product trio (Product Owner, Strategy, and Engineering) in dual-track discovery and delivery.
• Frame hypotheses and assumptions; set a learning goal for every sprint.
• Use interviews, journey mapping and assumption testing to understand what is worth solving.
• Run experiments to validate ideas before committing engineering effort.

1. Prioritize Based on Value, Learning and Opportunity Cost

You are accountable for prioritization decisions that optimize value and flow.

• Own and reorder the backlog based on evidence and impact, not urgency or pressure.
• Balance value, feasibility, risk and learning.
• Filter out noise, protect team focus, and say "no" or "not yet" with clear rationale.

1. Represent the User and Build Shared Understanding

You are accountable for keeping business vision and user needs at the center of decisions.

• Address user problems and needs within the data mesh approach.
• Translate business vision into epics, features and user stories.
• Use story mapping, journey mapping, conceptual data models, data flow diagrams and collaborative design sessions to align teams on the why before the how.
• Make dependencies, trade-offs and priorities visible across the team.

1. Engage and Align Stakeholders

You are accountable for alignment, trust and clarity across stakeholders.

• Work closely with business SMEs, leadership, compliance, tech, design and vendors; involve them in discovery, testing and co-creation.
• Share vision, learnings and progress openly; use storytelling and evidence to frame decisions.
• Challenge assumptions respectfully, act as a thought partner and key opinion leader, and manage expectations without becoming a proxy
• Drive alignment and decisions across internal teams and vendors, and move programs forward without formal authority.
• Shape lessons learned, product sustainment and cross-team collaboration structures.

1. Shape and Validate Product Strategy

You are accountable for shaping and validating product direction.

• Co-create the product vision aligned with product and business strategy.
• Break strategy into testable product bets along quarterly planning.
• Oversee strategic product investment, ensuring the right resource.

1. Enable and Support End-Users Through Change

You are accountable for driving user adoption of new releases.

• Prepare and run end-user training.
• Coordinate rollout communications.
• Provide hypercare after releases.
• Build lightweight support assets (how-tos, walkthroughs, FAQs).
• Turn user feedback into actionable improvements and measurable adoption gains.

About You

Education and Experience (Required):

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to create data-centric product visions, translate them into roadmaps, and manage products from framing to retirement with a data-as-a-product mindset.
• Experience defining product outcomes, slicing work and measuring real value.
• Track record of solving problems and overcoming roadblocks in complex environments with a hands-on "get things done" mindset.

Technical and Methodology Skills (Required):

• Agile/Lean skills: Agile, Lean Startup, story mapping, MVPs, hypothesis framing and assumption testing; track record implementing agile frameworks in enterprise environments (Jira, Confluence).
• Functional and technical understanding of data platforms: Snowflake, ETL, data analytics, AI/ML concepts, and semantic layers.
• Analytical and data-driven; uses metrics and market trends to guide decisions and predict product performance and demand.

Leadership and Communication (Required):

• Cross-functional leadership and influencing skills across developers, designers, business stakeholders and regulatory specialists; ability to think strategically and align product strategy to business needs.
• Strong written and verbal communicator and facilitator; translates technical concepts for non-technical audiences and gives clear updates to executives.
• Adaptable with an innovation mindset: navigates ambiguity, pivots quickly on user feedback and champions new approaches.

Nice to Have:

• Master's degree with 5 years of experience.
• Experience in Technology, pharmaceutical, life sciences or other regulated industries.
• Experience in enterprise workflows, data-heavy platforms or AI/LLM-based products; familiarity with GenAI in enterprise products.
• Knowledge of portfolio management, procurement or ITSM systems.
• Background in digital transformation or enterprise data governance.
• Experience in global, matrixed organizations.
• Prior development and/or prototyping experience.

The salary range for this position is:

158,200.00 - 208,200.00 (Includes target bonus)
