We are looking for a Data & Analytics Product Owner to lead the vision, roadmap, and delivery of data products that enable insight, decision-making, and scalable analytics. This role sits at the intersection of business, data engineering, analytics, and technology, translating business outcomes into well-defined data products and prioritizing work to maximize value. The Product Owner will partner closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, analytics engineers, data scientists, and platform teams to ensure data products are trusted, usable, and aligned to strategic goals.

Job Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Product Strategy & Vision
• Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and success metrics for data and analytics products (e.g., data platforms, datasets, dashboards, ML features).
• Translate business objectives into clear data product outcomes and measurable value.
• Identify opportunities to leverage data to improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and decision-making.


Backlog & Delivery Management
• Own and prioritize the product backlog, writing clear user stories and acceptance criteria for data and analytics use cases.
• Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term platform scalability and data quality.
• Partner with Scrum Masters and delivery teams to support sprint planning, refinement, and reviews.


Stakeholder Engagement
• Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders and data teams.
• Facilitate requirement discovery, clarify priorities, and manage trade-offs across competing needs.
• Communicate product progress, risks, and outcomes in business-friendly terms.


Data Product Ownership
• Ensure data products are reliable, well-documented, secure, and easy to consume.
• Define SLAs, data quality expectations, and usability standards.
• Collaborate on governance topics such as data definitions, lineage, access controls, and compliance.


Value & Outcome Measurement
• Define KPIs and success metrics for data products (adoption, performance, business impact).
• Continuously gather feedback and iterate on products to improve value realization.
• Promote a product mindset across data and analytics teams.

Job Qualifications

Sufficient education, training, and/or work experience to demonstrate possession of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, business administration or related field is required
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in data, analytics, or technology domains.
  • Strong understanding of data platforms, analytics workflows, and modern data architecture (e.g., data lakes, warehouses, BI tools).
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, etc.).
  • Familiarity with BI and analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.).
  • Understanding of data governance, data quality, and privacy concepts.
  • Experience supporting advanced analytics, data science, or ML-enabled products.
  • Background in a data-driven business domain (finance, supply chain, marketing etc.).
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and managing product backlogs.
  • Strong skills in relationship building among business stakeholders & colleagues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to adapt communication and key messages to the
    audience.
  • Excellent documentation skills are required, including requirements, functional design or configuration, test scripts, and process flows.
  • Thorough understanding of IT processes
  • Problem solver with the ability to break down complex situations and provide solutions.
  • Proactive contributor who can work in a fast-paced, growing, and dynamic environment.
  • Strong understanding of corporate business processes, including fundamental accounting and finance concepts, including forecasting, budget cycles and corporate reporting requirements preferred.
