SolidFlow batteries store energy in organic molecules The absence of explosive materials makes them safe, the use of socially and ecologically conflict-free raw materials makes them sustainable and the almost unlimited availability of materials makes them scalable and cheap to procure This makes our patented SolidFlow technology a game changer in the development of a global climate-neutral energy system

From start-up to scale-upwe're tackling it together  

CMBlu Energy is developing from a start-up focussing on research into a manufacturing scale-up that is on its way to series productionAround 240 employees are working towards this goal at CMBlu Energy. Our head office is in Alzenau near Frankfurt, with a branch office in Obernburg. There are also subsidiaries in Athens, Greece and Petaluma, USA.  

Your responsibilities

• Own end-to-end system performance of the solid flow battery, including efficiency, lifetime, and energy output by integrating materials, electrolytes, and operating conditions into a consistent and scalable system
• Define, track, and continuously improve system-level KPIs and performance targets
• Translate component-level developments into stable, reliable, and scalable full-system behavior
• Enable scaling of performance from lab to prototype by defining clear transfer rules and boundary conditions
• Provide technical direction to a cross-functional team, align workstreams and drive decisions based on system-level performance
• Identify system-level risks, implement robust mitigation strategies, and act as the central integration point across teams

Your profile

• Master’s degree in electrochemistry, chemistry, or chemical engineering required, PhD advantageous
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the battery industry preferred
• Fluency in English required, German is a plus
• Leadership experience with the ability to drive alignment and decision-making considered a strong asset
• Open-minded, hands-on, and strong collaborator with the ability to work across disciplines
• Experience as a product owner or working in agile environments beneficial
